June 10, 2011Fifty-four soldiers based at Canadian Forces Base Shilo have left for a tour of duty in Afghanistan. This group of soldiers is made up of personnel from several different units based in Shilo. They will perform a number of duties from technical and logistical support to security. They will return home late this year.
The soldiers are part of the Mission Transition Task Force (MTTF) conducting the mission closure of Operation ATHENA in Afghanistan.
