BRANDON, MB - Funds raised at the recent Heroes' Gala were formally presented to Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College June 30th. The event held May 22, 2010 raised $16,930.12. An additional $500 was donated by the Automotive Industries Association. Each institution received $8715 to augment the scholarships established for dependent family members of Canada's fallen soldiers.

Brandon Salutes will post specific up-coming community events, calls for participation and proposals of interest to military personnel.  Please note that we will not include information that is primarily of a commercial nature (advertisements or promotions of fee-based services), or which would not be of direct correlation to the mission set by Brandon Salutes. Brandon Salutes reserves the right to determine which events meet these criteria.

Rights:
Your submission of information constitutes your assignment of rights to Brandon Salutes to publish that information in any manner determined by Brandon Salutes, and serves as your warranty to Brandon Salutes that you have the appropriate authority to assign those rights.

What to Submit:
As a minimum, we require the following information:
Sponsoring organization’s name, address, and contact information, including web site and e-mail address if applicable.  Include similar information for co-sponsors, endorsements, etc.
For multiple day events: starting day and date; ending day and date and appropriate event times.
For single day events: day and date of event; starting time; ending time.
Complete building or location name, complete street address, city and postal code.
A complete description of the event.  Include featured speakers, fees, etc.
Names, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses of people or offices to be contacted for further information.
